EEEEWWWW! Alas, my oldest daughter had similar tonsils (as did I!) and ended up with chronic strep, and having to be on a continuous low dose of antibiotic. Not fun. Having tonsils out isn't much fun, either, but it's the best thing we've done for her health. No more snoring (BOY did that little one SNORE!), no more dark circles under the eyes...and...no more STREP!!! Yippee!
Anyway...good luck!

WOW! Those are ginormous!! I had my tonsils out when I was 9 as did my sister who was 6 at the time. Her's grew back oddly enough and she had to have them out again when she was 17!

My daughter's doctor said the same thing when she was 4, 5, and so on. And yes they were/are incredibly unexplainably large! She is now turning 17 and if you saw her would know she has had no problems swallowing. I had my tonsils out when I was 4 and have had a weight problem ever since, maybe coincidently....maybe not...I would get a second opinion. There are alot of different thoughts on the value of tonsils.

Wow! They are some big tonsils! I remember when I was a child, I had my tonsils taken out along with 4 of my 6 sisters and brothers. We made the paper as the most children in one family to have their tonsils taken out at the same time.

WOW, those ARE impressive. My son had surgery every year for the first 5 years of his life. He had the worst ear infections.... It's scary, but he did so well each time...

Good luck to you and stock up on popsicles and ice cream!!
